We stopped at Table Cape Lookout before heading across to the lighthouse first operated in 1888. The view from here were amazing. This area is an old volcanic plug that has formed this spectacular flat topped promontory with a sheer drop to the sea. The fertile basalt soils are rich and perfect for growing poppies as well as other crops.
